The ghost of Steve Prefontaine has risen up at the University of Oregon. Changing courses for this event, and changing uniforms to pink and white for breast cancer recognition, the entire Oregon cross-country team hammered this course like they have never done before. Pre would have been proud because that's exactly what he would have done! Hasay and Kosinski, 19:25.31 and 19:25.33 respectively. I've personally never seen an NCAA girl run a 6K that fast. Before this I'm guessing Hasay has done 19:48 and Kosinski 19:57. It didn't stop there. The entire team may have PR'd. Very proud of Luke & Matt too. Think AJ is as expected still behind the training curve a little. In a way it's a plus. He's got all of the team's young talent running around him. Great guidance on hand for the new guys.
